A Morning to Remember: Sangeethaamsha’s Spring Classical Baithak

On the morning of June 2nd, the backyard of Superhosts Sunil Ramesh and Manisha Murgude's private residence transformed into a haven for Indian classical music enthusiasts. Organized by Sangeethaamsha, this exclusive event showcased the profound beauty of Hindustani and Carnatic music, captivating the hearts of around 60 attendees. The ambiance was idyllic, with the soft chirping of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves providing a natural symphony that complemented the musical performances.

Suhasini Murthy commenced the concert with a mesmerizing Carnatic vocal performance, accompanied by Hari Sivakumar on the Mridangam. The purity of her voice, combined with the rhythmic beats of the Mridangam, set the tone for a morning filled with musical magic. Following this, the stage welcomed Saattwik Dikshit, who enthralled the audience with his Hindustani vocal rendition. Hari Sivakumar's Tabla and Ameya Velingker's Harmonium provided the perfect backdrop, creating an immersive experience that resonated with the soul.

The intricate sounds of the Sitar, played by Mandar Khoje, transported everyone to a realm of tranquility. Amod Dandawate’s Tabla accompaniment was impeccable, highlighting the synergy between the two artists and the timeless beauty of Indian classical music.

Madhurranjan Mohan's Hindustani vocal performance was another highlight, with Amod Dandawate on Tabla and Ameya Velingker on Harmonium adding layers of depth and emotion to the act. The seamless blend of vocal and instrumental melodies left the audience spellbound.

Tejas V then took center stage for a solo Tabla performance, demonstrating his exceptional skill and command over the instrument. His intricate rhythms and dynamic beats created an electrifying atmosphere, showcasing the versatility and power of the Tabla.

The headline performance by Ustad Arshad Syed on Santoor, accompanied by Tejas V on Tabla, was the crowning jewel of the concert. Ustad Arshad Syed’s mastery over the Santoor was evident in every note, and Tejas V's Tabla provided the perfect complement, resulting in a profound and sublime performance.

Sunil Ramesh and Manisha Murgude were amazing hosts, ensuring every guest felt welcome and comfortable. They organized tea and snacks, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. Their backyard was beautiful, offering a perfect setting for this musical soiree.

In addition to the enchanting music, the concert featured a special gesture by the event’s sponsor, Greenr Gifts. In honor of the artists' valuable contributions to the community, 50 trees were planted in each artist’s name. A framed certificate was presented to each artist, symbolizing the event's commitment to environmental sustainability and the enduring legacy of their artistry.

The beautiful music, a soothing garden ambiance, and the early morning freshness created an unforgettable experience for everyone present. The concert was not just an event but a journey through the rich and diverse landscape of Indian classical music, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who attended.
